Chelsea face wait on injured Terry

Chelsea are hopeful that captain John Terry will be fit for the UEFA Champions League final despite the defender sustaining a dislocated elbow in the 1-1 draw against Bolton Wanderers FC.

Terry, 27, was carried off on a stretcher after suffering the injury when he was involved in a collision with team-mate Petr Čech and visiting forward Kevin Davies 14 minutes into the final game of the Premier League season at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea take on Manchester United FC in the final on 21 May in Moscow, and regarding Terry's chances of playing, manager Avram Grant said: "He's strong enough to recover, but you never know. We need to wait and see how bad it is." Blues' striker Didier Drogba also picked up a knee injury during the match but was able to complete the 90 minutes.
